Clearing your Browsers Cache

As our system continues to evolve and improve, Virtual Terminal users may have to clear their browser’s cache from time to time in order to remove outdated cookies that may potentially interfere with newer features.  If you experience any oddities, please locate your browser below and follow the provided steps. 

Google Chrome-

  1. At the top right, click Settings (Small icon of three vertical dots).
  2. Point to More tools, and then click Clear browsing data.
  3. In the “Clear browsing data” box, click the checkboxes for Cookies and other site and plug-in data and Cached images and files.
  4. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Choose beginning of time to delete everything.
  5. Click Clear browsing data.

Mozilla Firefox-

  1. Click the menu button (Icon of three vertical lines), choose History, and then Clear Recent History.
  2. Set Time range to clear to Everything.
  3. Click on the arrow next to Details to expand the list of history items.
  4. Select Cookies and Cache, and make sure that other items you want to keep are not selected.
  5. Click Clear Now to clear the cookies and close the Clear Recent History window.

Enabling Your Web Browser To Accept Cookies

For optimal performance of the Virtual Terminal, it is recommended that you ensure your browser is configured to accept cookies.  

Google Chrome-

  1. At the top right, click Settings (Small icon of three vertical dots).
  2. At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
  3. In the “Privacy” section, click Content settings.
  4. Use the “Cookies” section to change your settings.
  5. Choose Allow local data to be set.
  6. Click Done to save changes.

Mozilla Firefox-

  1. Click the menu button and choose Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy panel.
  3. Set Firefox will: to Use custom settings for history.
  4. Check mark Accept cookies from sites to enable cookies.
  5. Select “Until the cookie expires
  6. Changes will be saved automatically.

Please Note

Due to our continued commitment to security, we utilize some of the most advanced technology available for browser-based applications. As a result, Internet Explorer cannot support the Virtual Terminal at this time.

For optimal performance, we recommend that you use Google Chrome to access your Virtual Terminal.
